Celebrating Our Blessings: We gratefully dedicated Cassidy Kate on June 9th, 2024 — one of the three beloved babies honored this year. We eagerly anticipate the dedication of our next little one in the near future.
Symbolic Gifts of Dedication: During each dedication, we present three meaningful symbols to the parents:
- A fresh flower, symbolizing that just as God is the creator of the magnificent flowers of the field, so He has entrusted these precious children into our care (Psalm 139:13-16).
- A children’s Bible, emphasizing the importance of teaching our children to trust in Christ and His Word, which serves as the foundation of life, peace, and joy.
- A white candle, to be kept until the day the child chooses Jesus Christ for themselves and is baptized. This candle symbolizes receiving the light of Christ from God and carrying that light to shine before others.
Commitments Made: The dedication ceremony concludes with solemn commitments:
- Parents pledge to raise their children in the ways of the Lord, nurturing their faith and guiding them with love.
- The congregation pledges support, promising to assist and uphold the young families as they embark on this sacred journey of parenthood.
Pastoral Blessing: Lastly, Pastor Jeff will hold each child and offer a prayer of dedication to the Lord, seeking His guidance and blessings upon their lives.
